Voca Pro & billing

  • What Pro includes — every voice and higher listening limits. Voca is free to try; Pro starts with a 7-day free trial, then £4.99/month.
  • Start Pro — tap a locked premium voice or the upgrade prompt in Studio to open the subscription sheet.
  • Manage or cancel — your subscription is billed through your Apple Account, so you manage it there: iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Voca. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or period ends to avoid the next charge.
  • Restore a purchase — on a new phone or after a reinstall, open the upgrade sheet and tap Restore to bring your subscription back.
  • Refunds — purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your account & data

  • Delete your accountProfile → Danger Zone. This wipes everything Voca stores for you — saved episodes and their audio, your taste graph, briefings and connections — immediately and permanently.
  • Download your data— request a portable copy of everything we hold; email us and we’ll send it.
  • Privacy & terms — see our Privacy Policy and Terms.

Playback & episodes

  • Audio won’t start— make sure your phone isn’t on silent, then tap play again. If it still won’t play, force-quit Voca and reopen.
  • Skip and speed — the player has 10-second skip back/forward, and a speed control (1× up to 2×) in the expanded now-playing card.
  • Listening in the background— Voca keeps playing with the screen locked or while you’re in other apps.
  • Re-listen & share — saved episodes live in your Library; open one to play it again, or share a link from the player.

The morning briefing

  • Set the timeProfile → Briefing time.
  • Connect Google (optional) — link Calendar or Gmail in Profile → Connections for a more personal briefing. Read only; we never write back, and you can disconnect any time.
  • Accuracy— briefing news is drawn from real, current reporting across multiple outlets and fact-checked before it’s read to you.

Trouble signing in

Voca supports Sign in with Apple and Google. If a sign-in stalls, close the app fully and try again; if it keeps failing, email us the method you used and we’ll look into it.
